At St Peter's Primary School, we use My Happy Mind to help create a positive mental wellbeing culture in which children build resilience, self-esteem, and character. My Happy Mind uses the latest research, science, and technology to help children develop lifelong habits and learn to thrive.
My Happy Mind is taught across the whole school in weekly sessions, and consists of 5 units:
– Learning about how our brains work.
– Understanding our character strengths and celebrating ourselves.
– Developing gratitude as a habit.
– Building positive relationships.
– Engaging with the world.

Parents can access the parent app by scanning the QR code and typing in our schools code which you can get from Mrs Berrisford in the school office
We have set up our own My Happy Minds ambassadors to spread happiness around school and support others with their wellbeing through techniques such as Happy Breathing. Our my Happy mind representatives consist of two children from Year 5 and 6.
Every week each class thinks about what or who they have been grateful for. These are then written on a leaf and are shared with the whole class during Friday's assembly. These leaves are then added to our Gratitude tree. We also have a focus each half term on our character strengths and teachers will choose a child from each class.
